HMV iSwap; is it 4th or 5th gen?

Hi,
Has anyone done the iSwap with hmv? The itouch you can get, is it 4th or 5th gen, and can you get bigger than 8GB?

The only thing I can read is that the advertised price of £99, is based on trading in an itouch, and buying a 16GB 4th gen itouch. Says nothing more about whether it's limited to old 4th gen stock, or all sizes, 5th gen as well.

Highly tempted to do this offer with my dying battery 4th gen, but only if I Can get latest model, else it's a bit of a con shifting 4th gens they have left over.

Not really a con, a con wouldnt have said its a 4th gen touch.

Im confused? where does 8GB come from?
It says(as you quote) applies to 16gb 4th gen touch

Yeah sorry meant 16gb. Thing is the reference refers to the advertised price of £99 (from) so I know you can swap lesser valued ipods, but I wondered if this was also towards 5th gen on purchase. You can swap in a 5th gen as listed under the itouches section.

2. We will give you the following value for your old iPod subject to clause 6 below: 5th, 4th or 3rd Generation Touch £70, 1st or 2nd generation Touch £60, Classic £30, Nano 6th or 7th generation £15, Nano 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th generation £10, Shufle £5, Mini £5 You will be required to pay the difference in price for a new iPod.

^That just says itouch, no list of whether it's a 4th, or 5th. I can't walk into a store, would have to travel, and despite emailing, or twittering have no reply to say anything at all. Will give them a ring on Monday I guess, see if I can find out.

I wanted to trade my 2nd generation ipod touch for a new 5th generation touch, but HMV never had the 5g in stock during the promotion. Not sure if this was deliberate? Checked HMV.com & all my local stores & no one has received an ipod touch since their release in Sep/Oct? The iswap deal has now ended (HMV have still not received any 5g touch yet) & was wondering does anyone know how often these iswap deals happen - is it once a year or more frequent??
