Conservatory Heating

Hi

Im after some advice, I have a conservatory roughly 12m x 14x which has a single rad in it already. I want an independent heat source in there and have looked at the Dimplex 3087ST 3kw with booster fan.

What do you think of that as a heater? One issue may be I want to place it on a dwarf wall but he manual with it suggests a minimum space between it and the tiled floor of 23cm I have a space of 18cm.

Will this be a big problem? The flooring is ceramic tile but there is a Wooden (painted) skirting board there as well?

any advice would be great?

Is an AC unit an option for heating? how much is an AC unit? for a room the size of mine?

Thanks

Jeff

Hiya, any electric fire is costly to run. 3 Kwh = about 35p an hour if full on.
Gone are the days when we heat our conservatory. Due to cutting back.

    I presume you mean 12ft x 14ft?

The one you have suggested will be fine wall mounted and as close to the floor as the feet make it anyway.

I've recently removed a radiator from our conservatory because it kept sludging up, was never warm enough and they don't comply with Building Regs anyway, so may go for something like this myself.

I've had an oil-filled radiator in there, but that doesn't allow you to use the conservatory 'on the spur of the moment'.
