Tesco.com beer orders.

Try as I may, I can't order beer/lager/cider online for home delivery, because their are none of these products listed under the various tabs, and searching doesn't help.......why?

(have reported this to Mr T. twice and still the same)

Wine I can get, but that ain't what I want!:mad:

    Have you tried ordering the beer on the groceries part of the website?

    Yes, doesn't work.

    Having just spoken to a somewhat more informed Mr T. employee, it appears there is a glitch with my account, which is stopping the sub menu's dropping down - answer is for them to cancel my account and for me to re register, hopefully!

    May be one or more of four reasons;

    1-The beers you are ordering may not be stocked at the store that the delivers in your area.

    2-Your area may be blacklisted

    3-You may have failed security checks.

    4-The items you ordered may be out of stock in that store.

    When you place an order,if it's a large order for beer (over 2 cases iirc) then that flags up,especially if the area you live in is 'dodgy' or it's your first couple orders.
    The online delivery team at the head depot,will look at that order & decide if it can go ahead.
    Sometimes a customer may have details that differ from their online account or the may be issues with the card & that will block the order.
    I've phoned drivers who are on their way to deliver the items to tell them the delivery is pulled.
    And contrary to popular belief,the items you order are picked from the store that covers your delivery area & not some massive warehouse.(see A)

    I appreciate that Aldi are not online but as an ale drinker I can tell you that their prices are the best around at the moment. They are much cheaper than Tesco and their range of ales is expanding.
