Royal Doulton wallpaper

Im not sure if this is the right section, if not maybe a mod will move it

Anyhow, the wallpaper! I bought some Royal Doulton wallpaper at a car boot, had to, was a bargain;) but due to my bad papering skills I now need another roll. I am coming up with a loss as to where to get it.
I rang RD and was told they dot make wallpaper and did read somewhere online about maybe Crown took that section over? There are some rolls of the same design on eBay but in the wrong colour

Has anyone for any suggestions as to who might stock the RD or is it now re branded. Or indeed any other info that may be relevant. I can put a pic on showing the design and design number if that will help

Here's hoping!
LBM.....sometime in 2013 £27,056. 10 creditors
June 20.....£7,587.....3 creditors left 72% paid

£26,200 on interest only part of mortgage (July 16)...will chip away £17,103
£49,200 repayment mortgage ( July 16) £37,764

Are you meaning wallpaper that has a Royal Doulton design printed on it? Its not just design number that's the issue its batch number too. You are on a hiding to nothing.

Put it down to experience in terms of what to buy and what not to buy at a car boot sale and in terms of practicing your wallpaperhanging skills. Strip it off and start again with a paper like and can source sensibly.

    Cheers

The actual label is marked Royal Doulton, so I have all relevant numbers

You miss the point. It doesn't matter. To get a match to need to get the same batch number as well as the same design number. Having picked the original up an a car boot sale your chances of doing that are close to absolute zero even if you spend the next thousand years searching.

Sorry if thats not what you want to hear.

No, I do get your point. I was merely asking if anyone knows who had taken over making their paper, if anyone and if so, where to get it

if you find who makes it they should be able to make a roll to your numbers may cost a few quid but its gotta be best way to go

But thats the problem. Even if you do find out that information the batch concerned is long gone and without another roll from the same batch you won't be able to match it properly. I was merely expressing the opinion that you are probably wasting your time. ;)

I may well be but I wanted to try all options, just in case

I don't understand how you work that out. The whole point about a batch number is that is made at the same time using exactly the same ink mix on exactly the same coloured paper. Its actually the same with hot cross buns. Its impossible to recreate the same batch after the event.
