Cancel a cashback card?

I've had it 3 months, and the introductory offer is over. It was the Capital One 5% cashback card
I want the Barclaycard cashback card, so could I cancel this one or will I lose the cashback I have earned on it (the full amount)?
I only have the Cap1 now, because... I just cancelled my Barclaycard platinum so will I even be able to apply for this?
thanks

Your first question is answered in your T&Cs...just look under 'Rebates'.
If you don't have them to hand, here's what the current 'Aspire' card's T&Cs say about rebates...
Can't help with the second question. No rebate will be payable if this agreement is terminated or your account is closed.

Thanks for that YB
Should have Googled first, seems cashback is paid in january anyway so I can just wait
Not sure about Barclaycard tho, some say 6 months+ but when I cancelled, they said I could have switched to another card. Maybe I should have done this..This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
