As most routers have admin as default name and password can they or should they be changed.

Yes you should probably change them.

If you do, write the details on a little sticker and stick it on the bottom of the router so you don't forget them.

You can change the wireless password if you wish (aka wireless security key). Also worth checking that you have WPA2 security set for the wifi.

You normally change the wifi password when you log in to the router in the wireless set-up menu. If you can't find it anywhere post the make/model of your router.
