Hi all, i'm looking for a bit of advice. We started a claim against the bank for PPI using one of the companies that pester you. After filling in and returning the forms they sent the bank contacted us direct and offered the money, which we took. Now the PPI company are chasing the money they say we owe them and because its not been paid they've out it up and are threatening legal action.
Are we legally obliged to pay them this fee or should we just continue to ignore them?

Legally obliged.
You signed a contract with them, it's legally binding.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -

Is this a real question or are you starting a troll thread?
You employed a company to do a job and agreed how much you would pay them. The job was done and you now want to get out of paying them. What a nice person you are.
You are legally obliged to pay them and they will take you to court if you dont.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). sorry as I much as hate the CMC's, you appointed them to deal with it and signed a contract with them. they completed the job they set out to do and you dont want to pay them. not surprised they want to sue you.
Would you pay for a mechanic to fix your car and not not pay them?0 -

Would you feel aggrieved if your employer simply didn't bother to pay you the wage you agreed with them for the work you had done?
