Hi, I want to purchase an item from Hong Kong and would get 5% discount if I pay by BACS, I can also pay by Paypal but would have to pay the full price, would I be covered if the item did not arrive, any help would be great , thanks

There is no protection whatsoever for payment by BACS.
Once you part with the money, it's gone for good, regardless of whether or not the item actually arrives.
(Do they even have a UK bank account for you to pay into? Otherwise you'd have to do an international bank transfer, at a significant expense).0
