Hi,
I've been bamboozled by Google! My iTunes library is on my dad's iMac - I have now moved out and have a Macbook Pro and I want to transfer my iTunes library to my new computer.
How's best to do it?
All my photos, podcasts and music are also on my iPod Classic, so the internet suggests downloading something like Senuti or TouchCopy and taking it directly from my iPod....is this the best way?
Anyone done this? Is it idiot proof (seriously, it needs to be with me!)? Can anyone suggest the best programme/app? There seems to be loads to choose from out there!!
HELP!

The program I used was called floola. (sorry can't provide a link as I'm on my iPod touch).
Free, works well and very easy to use.0 -
WHy can't you connect the PC without your library to the one that has the library, and copy over the iTunes folder to the new one?
The photos must have got onto your iPod Classic from iTunes, since the Classic has no camera.
The library on the Mac is the Master, the iPod the Slave, and when you Sync, data goes in one direction - Master to Slave. You want to get the Master version, so you need to hook up your new machine to the Mac with the itunes library on it. Download iTunes onto the new machine first, and copy over the folder with the library.
NOTE - this won't work if you've added any music to the library with the 'Add Folder to Library' dialogue, as this merely links to external folders from iTunes0 -
Thanks for your replies - Googler - that sounds complicated - do you need a special firewire cable to do this between the two computers?0

If you have access to wifi network, you can use homesharing
