Daily Saturday 27th October

icon1.gifO/S Daily thread Saturday 27th October 2012
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 26th October. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

  • Morning Hilstep and all who follow

I was MIA yday because after I work I went straight to Cardiff to see the Hairy Bikers tour yesterday :j they were absolutely brilliant! I saw them 2 yrs ago and they were even better this time :D. They do a mix of live cooking, comedy and video clips. I took my Mum and we managed to spend 6 hours together without arguing :rotfl:. We had dinner in a nice little restaurant beforehand.

It's absolutely freezing here :( such a change in weather, I was paddling in the sea on Weds!! I need to dig out my gloves and scarf!

Today I'm meeting the girls for lunch and spot of shopping. And tonight I'm hopefully going out for a meal with a friend :) it will mean missing Strictly though  :rotfl:.

OS wise - quick tidy needed, will hoover round, WM to go on.

    Have a good day all

ps Don't forget the clocks go back tonight!

Morning all - cold here. I've put the heating on for a couple of hours, and I got out the floral granny nightie last night. I woke up from a pleasant dream to find myself stroking one of the cats, except it was my furry hot water bottle. Friends up in Morpeth have posted pics on FB of their first snow of the winter.

Going to head out later with the wally trolley to Lidl and Farmfoods, and Asda delivery coming late afternoon. Considering doing a lasagna tonight. Hit a couple of major deadlines at work yesterday which pleased me. Feeling pretty chilled, despite not quite enough sleep. Apparently Homebase have a 15% discount this weekend, and we have fence panels and posts to buy so I'll look into that. Going to cull old shoes today.

The evening fireworks have started (till well past midnight here) and we'll have another fortnight of them before it's all over ...

Have a good day everyone :)

    Chilly here this morning.
I think my fridge freezer is dead, bit of a nuisance, but I think we can afford to replace it.
Hubby will watch the GP qually today & I shall potter around & do some crochet.
    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning All

Not managed to post for the past few days but have read most days. Been very busy with work and a social life, the evening job is much quieter now so am catching up with folk I've not seen for a while!

Hugs to those not feeling so good, also to poorly pets, sorry to hear of Rambo's passing.

Friends coming over for dinner tonight so need to think of something to make, also need to do some real shopping today, have just been topping up when we've run out of stuff. DD off this weekend too so will be nice to spend some time with her - if we go to the shops we will argue within the first 15 minutes as I hate shopping!!

Have a good weekend. Take care. XX
