Frontline working on one cat but not the other? Help please

One of my cats has a real problem with fleas.
I treat both with Frontline every four weeks. Yesterday I noticed a few fleas on my pedigree so I used the Frontline (three weeks since last treatment) on her. I checked my other cat (nit comb) and she seemed free of them but treated her also just to be sure.
This evening my poor pedigree is biting and scratching herself. Shes not as bad as yesterday but still seems uncomfortable.
Is it actually possible for one cat to have them and not the other or am I missing something?
Ive done all the normal stuff, hovered and washed their blankets (at 90 degrees!)
What should I do now? I'm thinking of buying a diffrent product tomorrow when I go to town. Is their a different spot on I could use? And would it be safe to put another treatment on her this soon?
Really appreciate any advice
Thanks

If your cats have fleas your home is infested unfortunately, vacuuming will not resolve that you need to move all the furniture and use a product like Acclaim or Indorex. You cannot use a different spot on, you need to leave it until the Frontline works out of their system or you risk overdosing them.
The two cats may react differently, same as people some as more sensitive to the bites than others.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
Hello
I'm not sure why its working on one cat but not the other, but in our area, Pembrokeshire, wales, all the vets are ditching frontline as its not working anymore. The fleas seem immune. We'd treated our cat and it had no effect so I went up the vets for advice And they gave us a different brand said everyone was having problems.
Definitely de flea the house too now though as they will be in your furniture and carpets.
hope this helps0 -
May be worthwhile switching treatments for the next 3 months?0

Ive sprayed the house and I spoke to the vets today and they reccomended switching to Frontline Combo. Anyone use this product?
I have to wait two weeks before I can treat them again.
Many thanks0 -

I've used it before but everyone's pets are different, your cat may be suffering with something completely separate or you may need to switch brands. I personally would switch just in case the frontline has ceased to be as effective. You can always switch back0 -

If so, sometimes the spot on doesn't reach the skin through the dense pelt (I have one like it)
No, a British Shorthair. She does have quite a thick coat though, so i think that could be a possibility. Maybe I'm not taking enough care applying it.
I'll try a different brand also I think.0
