Proof of address on PPI claim

Hi there
I recently put in a claim for PPI refund with Natwest (RBS). Had a letter today stating that they can't proceed without proof of my address.
The problem is, I can't provide any of the proof they're asking for. I gave my parents address on the PPI form as I currently live in Italy, but I won't be here for much longer so didn't want to give my Italian address. I don't have relevant proof of my address here anyway.
Nor do I have proof within the last three months of residence at my parents. They haven't asked for proof of identity otherwise they could have had my passport. I don't drive so have no driving licence..and I don't get much post at either address anyway!
I don't hold any current finance with either Natwest/RBS so why should I prove my address to them anyway...surely identity should be enough?
Thanks in advance.

As it stands, it looks like you'll have to wait until you can furnish them with proof of a permanent address before you can proceed with your complaint.0 -
P.S Forgot to add that when the loan was current, my address was neither my italian or parents address...0

My point is that they haven't asked for proof of my identity, I would gladly provide it - only my address has been asked for...and I wan't complaining, only asking for advice on what I could give them..0
