99p starting price query

I have a load of boys clothes which I was planning to take to one of the clothing places where you weigh the stuff and come away with pennies! If I was to list some of the better items on ebay at a start price of 99p (plus postage) and they were to sell at 99p how much would I actually receive once ebay and paypal have taken their share (I was thinking along the lines of ebay 10p and paypal 5p but not 100% sure)

eBay is a flat 10%, though some categories now charge 12%. So at worst it will be 12p for eBay fees.
Paypal take a flat 20p fee plus 3.4%, which is going to be 23-24p depending whether they round up or down.
So worst case, 36p. Best case 33p.
It might be worth opening a micropayments account where Paypal take only a flat fee of 5p but 5% (roughly 10p on a 99p sale). This only works out more expensive than a normal account once you reach payments of about £10, so for the sake of registering again, it would be a bit of a saving.
Don't forget postage and packing will be needed. You can charge for postage costs within reason but don't go buying individual jiffy bags from a retail outlet otherwise you will price yourself right out of the market. Charging say £2.20 for postage leaves you sending small packet, and mailing bags can be had in bulk for pence each (look to spend up to 20p per bag)."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4
