Just-eat.co.uk HELL

hey. now before i go on i know people have bigger issues than me on here moaning about my 12 quid order with justeat.co.uk but any help will be most grateful.


ok so first off its pretty crucial to add that im both deaf and terminally ill so justeat is a god send for me with takeaway food as i cant use th e phone or go out. two nights ago i ordered from the same chinese ive ordered from once a month or so for the last 3 years. the food was stunningly poor, cold, dry, delivered late. so i choose to make a complaint the only way i can, via livechat on the website. the staff Member rang the place, they flat out refused to either refund or replace. when that came back i asked for the woman to ring them again and protest, she did and the response she got was "there is nothing wrong with the food, it was all cooked fresh and as we have had no other complaints that night so his food must of been fine"....i was stunned by this. can a resturant really be so arrogant?

in short i just want to know what i can do to get some justice, can anyone help? do i have any rights to a refund?

    Perhaps find a diffrent local takaway on just eat.

    Remember just eat just pass your order onto the local takaways. Not cook and deliver it themselves.

  • They could have at least offered you a discount on your next order to try & keep you as a customer

    Make sure you write an honest review so that others know and find a better chinese restaurant who treat their customers better! xx

    I wrote a review about poor service (late delivery) and it was deleted by J.E. and other people mention that their reviews are deleted too. (which J.E. deny)

    Whenever I put my postcode into their website it tells me I'm living in a little one road village 4 miles from where I actually live.If they can't even get that right,what chance would I have of a delivery order actually reaching me?....Slim to none I reckon!
    Anyway,one of the Chinese T/O in my town stopped using J Eat after loads of complaints.

    Try to see eat from JustEat's point of view. What more can they do than speak to the restaurant, and go by the fact that nobody else has complained? If nobody else has complained then JustEat can only assume that, on the whole, the restaurant is fine.

    If they simply refunded anyone who complained they'd be losing a lot of money. It's the risk you take with using a service like JustEat and if you stop using the website you'd only be cutting off your nose to spite your face. Continue to use the website, but just use a different restaurant next time.

    Just-Eat restaurant reviews are a load of bull too. a New takeaway opened up in my area and had 5 x 6 star reviews on within a week. I ordered some food but didn't turn out as expected so left an honest review of 3 stars. Never got published on the site. I suspect the glowing reviews were fixed and not real.
