I have used a Maple kitchen w/top as a desk in our utility room although since up i have noticed some scratches that have appeared.
Is there any product that can be used to protect the surface, its not laminate its wooden.
Hope that someone can advise.

How else would you preserve the colour of the timber underneath? No reason not to stain it if you want though. Its your desk.

If scratches are an issue French polish isn't the answer.
Modern furniture isn't polished or treated with anything you buy from the sheds.
It's spray coated, just like your car, but with a 2 pack epoxy laquer.
Had a friend in the trade that "acquired" some of this for me, I min spray time, 5 mins open time:eek::eek::eek:, stick with Ronseal.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
