A 13A fuse is too much for a single 400W item.

    400W is 400 / 230V = 1.7A so a 3A fuse or if you are running two then that would be 3.4A so a 5A fuse.

If its an outside light then you will need to make sure you have an RCD in place. Just make sure you get 3 core wiring rated to at least 5A and if it isn't just going straight through a wall and will be exposed outside you will want to protect it.
  • excellant answer... thx... im gonna go straight threw the wall where its fitted so should be ok from weather =)

    excellant - excellent

    threw - through

through - In one side and out the opposite or another side of: went through the tunnel.

threw - past tense of throw -to propel something through the air by movement of arm or hand. :)

Then don't forget that you need a drip loop in the cable (whether it should be ok from weather or not) and seal the hole in the wall with silicone after you've pulled the cable through. That's cable by the way not flex.

Get an electrician in. You clearly have no idea what you are doing.
