Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Came home to be greated by Zara looking very strange with most of her fur up like some punk including the fur on her head.

Looked like mud but....

Called the dog walker asking where is MY dog and what is that PIG doing in my flat?

Turns out Zara decided to roll in something very much unidentified while out with the dogwalker and gone totally deaf with dog walker trying to call her off.

Zara does NOT roll in anything (unl;ess with her mate Lajka who always rolls in things but they do not meet that often) so I am very surprised....

Took the piggy out, brushed as much as I could out with a slicker brush and came back home.

The flat stinks.. so does Zara...

And there was me coming home early happy that the weekend is here ... Buuuuuu :(

    I wish..

    1) In a flat
    2) No dog shampoo at home as Zara normally goes to groomes because of (1)
    3) My shower is total crap - either boling hot or completely cold so no use really no way to rinse her

She does not stink so bad now but she is NOT sleeping on my bed tonight that is for sure

What's a flat got to do with it? Mine are regularly bathed in a flat, if they weren't it'd be even more of a mess than it currently is!

Stick her in the bath, just a good rinse will really help even with no shampoo, and I don't think dogs are nearly as bothered by cold water as we are or they wouldn't be so keen to go swimming in January!

I tried that twice and never again.. She soaks water like a sponge, gets slippery, tries to get out all the time and almost killed me and herself so no thanks... brushed whatever was there to brush, wiped with wet towel, brushed again - the stink is gone... ufffff

I cringe when mine lick their bums then come over to give me a doggy kiss!

I tell them they're not kissing me after their tongues have been up their bottoms, and O/H says it's ok because their bottoms must be scrupulously clean after being thoroughly licked out several times a day...!
