Do dog guards for older cars actually sell?

Our 2002 Mondeo died & the new car we end up with won't be the same shape so I'm planning to eBay the barjo dog guard & tailgate. It's bulky so we had planned to say collection only, but I see a fair number of these for sale & not much selling. I'm wondering if it's just going to sit there.
Still wish I could buy a TARDIS instead of a house!

If the completed listings show no sales then I think you have your answer.

Why not try selling it on a facebook page or giving it away of freegle?

  • I recently sold a Barjo dog guard for a Volvo (sold on a BIN, collection only), and it went within a couple of hours of the listing going up.

It will all come down to luck as to whether or not there is someone in your area who is after one, but as the Mondeo is quite an old model of car, you may well find that anyone who has one and who also has a dog already has a guard fitted.
  • Gumtree is also useful for selling stuff locally, but if it's a niche item with a very limited market, it might be better to eBay it offering courier delivery if possible.
