I have a HP 2410 photosmart.
It has a scanner facility which I have never used.
When you press the scan button it says NO! or it is not set up to scan
How do I set it up to scan?

Did you install all the HP software/drivers that came with it? Which OS are you using, the XP/Vista native drivers only usually have the basic printing functionality."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

There may be, in your programmes, an HP solution centre.
If you can find that it will sort you outWe all evolve - get on with it0 -
In the manual it just says...
press scan button and choose from the menu
select a default destination
press start

If you haven't installed from disc it may be that you're only using XP drivers and not HP's which include all the advanced features such as scanning. Try downloading the drivers (large file I know) and installing and it should include everything. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=oj-6817-6&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=303753&os=228&lang=en"She is quite the oddball. also check you dont have any anti spyware program that's blocking the hp utlity program from running at startup.
There is a little program that runs in the background which allows you to use the buttons on the machine. You can stop it running and the scanner will still work but you will have to launch the solution centre manually.0
