The waste water doesn't seem to be evacuating properly.I assume a blockage. I have had problems for about a week The propeller in the round section, bottom right had fallen out and i think i eventually have got it to stay on although the water is still not clearing.
How do i dismantle to try and clear the blockage? I have had it for 8 years and it has served me well.
here is an image of a similar machine

If the pump impeller is detached or lo0se then of course if will not drain properly. You may need a new pump. Have you removed any debris in the pump? Coins, buttons etc?
The next thing to check is the drain hose, any kinks or blockages? No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
well the impeller spins for a few secs - then comes off. i don't think there are any other blockages. Do you think that i stlll need another pump ? As i say the mechanics seem to be working properly- just the impeller won't stay on!
if i do need a new pump - Do you think it would be cost effective to order one and get a plumber i vaguely know to fit?
Is this what i need ?

I have done a very quick search and it appears that a new pump is required. Can you confirm ?

It may be possible for an engineer to resecure the impeller, it's impossible to say. But if not a new pump is cheap enough. You need a white goods engineer, not a plumber. Or it's a fairly simple DIY job to change a pump.
Pumps are prety standard parts, a pattern one on ebay will be cheaper. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
