Hi There You May Of Seen Some Members With The "MSEer's Lucky 777's Membership Signature. Well For Those Of You Who Missed The Original Post By DizzyDee, This Is What We Both Came Up With.
Simply Mail Or Post 7 Letters To 7 Companies Who You Use Regularly & Say You Buy Their Product On A Regular Basis & You Would Like Them Now In Return To Mail You A Charity Prize. Then If You Are Successful You Can Donate It To A Local School, Social Club, Day Centre For Them To Raffle Or Giveaway. We ALL Have Had SO Much Help From Martin's Advice & Many Of Us Have Saved Money From It So Why Not Give Something Back?
So The Idea Is:-
Write 7 Letters Or Emails.
To 7 Companies.
We Think It Will Take Around Just 7 Minutes.
And Then Feel Good In '07 For Giving Something To YOUR Community & Become A Part Of "THE MSE'rs LUCKY 777's!"
Easy Eh??
So Far I Have Received 4 Cases Of MARS Products Which A Local Group Sold At An Easter Jumble Sale, Yes I've Had Rejections But With OVER A Million Members Even If Everyone Get ONE Item To Donate That's Pretty Good Going!!
We Have FREE Badges On The Way So Keep Us Posted On How YOU Are Doing & Good Luck!
Regards,
Nick.

just a thought, but could it be made more effective by contacting a local charity / charity of your choice, and seeing if there's anything in particular that they really need, and then specifically asking for that in your letters?for more info check out www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk . You'll find me there.
New Year's Resolution: Post less unnecessary posts. (and that was 2007)
yes, I realise I may appear cold and heartless a lot of the time.0 -

Yes That's A Good Idea Too But Sometimes These Groups Tend To Have Fundraisers & Events Where They Can Raise money With Raffles ETC.
Great Idea Though, If You Try It Please Let Us Know How you Do.
Good Luck,

What an excellent idea, count me in!!
My hubby works for a community group who have just found out their funding has been cut via the front page of the local newspaper! Great eh? So anything I can do to get them donations will help even more than before!
Any luck with a template letter please? You're so very special, I wish I was special :dance:0 -
is there a template letter?0

Hi There,
I'm Not Going To Do A Template Letter, As If One Company Receives Loads Of Letters The Same Then We May Not Be In With A Chance.
I Would Be More Than Happy To Read & Adjust Anyones Letter If They PM It To Me.
Many Thanks,

i am going to do it for a childrens hospice near me called delmelza house, a hospice for terminally ill children.
if you are going to do it please make sure it is worth while and means so much to so few0 -
FANTASTIC IDEA!!!!!! I've sent my letters asking for things that I can sell/raffle for Refuge. It's a charity really close to my heart and I'd love to be able to help them.
I actually enjoyed doing it and it really didn't take very long at all. Loads of household products like imulse and nivea have the customer service address on the back so it's dead easy. I'd really recommend doing this, you can save lives just by using a little bit of your time and having a laugh.0
