My electric usage seems high but can i ask you guys what you think.
I have a stable yard with 8 stables and a day living mobile home and my electric averages out for 16.9 khw per day.
Before I pay someone to have a look can i run my usage past you guys who are more in the know.
So in the summer we use the kettle about 4x per day but only boil what we use for a cuppa and the TV for about 4hrs,There is a small larder fridge on all the time. There is no hot water or any other applicances in use.
In the winter in addition to the above the stable lights ( florescent strips lighting ) are on for about an hour in total per day so not all lights on at the same time. An electric charger 2x a week for the battery for the electric fencing.
A panel radiator for about 5/6 hrs per day.
I have been reading the other thread where it seems an average family are using about 12 kwh per day and wondered if mine seems correct.
Any thoughts.

What's the power of your panel radiator and how high do you have it set? It could be consuming over 10kwh per day if it's a big one.0

Its a Dimplex 1.5kwh if that helps. The guy in the shop said it was economical to run but who knows.
It is rarely on full heat tbh jut enough to take the chill off the air as we are in heavy duty riding clothes.:beer:0 -
6 hours x 1.5kW = 9kWh alone (but maybe less if thermostatically controlled)0

get one of those clip-on energy monitors from eBay for less than twenty quid to see what is consuming the power.0

Because he wanted to sell it to you. All electric heaters cost exactly the same amount ro run (for the same rated output) as any other, because they are all 100% efficient. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
