How to update jelly bean Glaxay S3

Long story short, i bought a 2nd hand S3 which was on vodafone it was unlocked and i now have my o2 sim in it.

Will any carrier push through the update ?
Will it need to be done manually ?

I could do it if there is a step by step guide but by no means am i tech expert .

Any advise ?

on the phone itself i've checked for an update and got this

Access to this software update service is provided to users in the order in which they request it . Try later.

What does that mean ?

I was also getting the same message as you, i have plugged my phone into a laptop with samsung keis installed and installed jellybean, it takes about 30 mins. Its not hard to do just follow the on screen prompts.

i think stef73 has hit it, my sony needed to do the update via the computer software rather than ota updates
