Fix with EON
I'm with EON ( Dual Fuel Online Energy ).
Costs around £1800 a year.
Now that everyone except EON have put up prices, is it a good time to fix with EON?
Quite like to stay with them cos of the Tesco clubcard points !
Have choice of 1 year or 2 years ( and can have £42 discount I currently get in tesco points instead which is handy for family days out ).
1 year fix is estimating at almost exactly what I'm paying now, and 2 year about 80 quid more a year.
Difference in plans is that the units are cheaper, but there's a daily standing charge to pay instead.
Thoughts?
Fix or hang fire?
My initial reaction is to fix for the 2 years ... if EON follow EDF and increase by around 10%, that's £180 a year extra on my bill ... and my guess is that prices will go up again ( probably a few times!) over the next 24 months.

I'm in the exact same position. Same tariff. Been looking to take either the 1 year or 2 year fixed. However the Scottish power deal till april 14 also looks good0

EON currently have a guarantee not to increase prices during 2012 so the first chance of any increase is 1 January 2013 so you still have some time to decide.0

My worry is they'll pull the fixed deals.
They could make an announcement this afternoon that they plan to increase on January 1st 2013 and still honour their guarantee that the increase won't actually happen till 2013.0 -
They have to give customers 30 day notice of price increases, also, as there are only 5 tariffs (standard, fixed 1 year, fixed 2 year, energy discount, AGE UK) it would be unlikely they would be allowed to withdraw the fixed tariffs as this would be against current legislation0
