switch yes or no
At present with Eon Save on line 11 tariff, it ends in January next year, Eon prices not increased as yet, should i think of switching to a capped contract, have been with Eon for years, looking at there Age over 60 tariff, we spend approx £930 a year now on dual fuel, switching to this it says £990. Its fixed for a year, taking into account we would have a £30 cancellation fee to swap would this be worth it, or should we wait and see what there price increase will be. Did think of switching suppliers, but its to much hassle.

Eon have a guarantee not to increase prices during 2012 so first possible increase will be 1 January 2013. Also, i believe that the cancellation fee is only payable if you leave EON and not for swapping tarriff to another EON tarriff.0

If you switched now you'd be protected from EON's price rises when they do eventually go up as everyone else's rises will go up before that so if you wait til the new year you'd be at a disadvantage.0

Just to confirm advantix. You're spot on. Cancellation fees only apply if a customer is on a tariff with an end date and changes supplier before this date.

Yes, MillicentBystander. This policy changed on 14 September 2012.
All customers whose switch completes after this date will receive the full discount on their final bill.
