Nor me even though I worked for Superdrug when I was a teenager but with accounts experience I gues sI do not fit what they are looking for and if you could see the staff at my local Boots it makes you wonder how they got their jobs!I have never had any luck with Boots. I am beginning to lose all hope.
Got to the questionaire thing once and then once never even got to that stage.
People think it's so easy to get a job in a shop though.0 -
Thank you. It is on Monday! Fingers crossed as I really want out of my current work place.starrystarry wrote: »:T:T:T

Well done and congratulations on getting the job!!!Hi,
It went well, I got the call today offering me the job!
I was asked normal questions, why Boots, why this role examples of customer service, working in a team, general experience etc.
I had a good interviewer who put me at ease straight away which helped a lot I think.
Good luck!
Thank you for the feedback on your interview.
I hope mine goes as good as yours - I really want to leave my current workplace!!!
I was told to maybe expect questions on medicines and/or being brought out on the shop floor to interact with customers. EEEK!
Fingers crossed

I find it odd that in a Boots interview people are made to interact with customers as in my Boots they do not even speak or tell you how much the total is of all your shopping.0

Good luck Gemstone, keeping my fingers crossed for you

He really did put me at ease straight away, and we got on well which always helps, I hope you have as good experience as I did.
I was worried about the long questionaire as I read countless threads on people who were rejected, I stayed completely customer focused and kept my answers the same through out. Customers first, the quick decisions I went against.. I can't remember what the rest were it seems like a distant memory! I told him how many threads I had seen over the internet about how hard the questionaire was, so I was shocked to pass, my interviewer did say sometimes people overthink it and try to cover all angles so fail on inconsistency.
Well Ive had my first 2 days it was brilliant, feels so good to be back at work after too long out! First day was internet based induction, reading notes onscreen and watching videos then answering quick questions on each section - all fairly simple. Took just under 2 hours, so was given the option of going home or starting till training. I opted to stay - Id have got too nervous if I had to sleep on it!
It went very well, and second day was even better. I was actually sad to leave, as my next shift will be in my 'real' store ie the one Il be based in, still if everyone is as nice as the people I met in the large store Il be happy!
Thank you to all who replied, and goodluck again to Gemstone, and anyone else who applies :jMFW

Hi Bellevie,
Super glad that your first few days have been a good experience for you and you have got on well. I hope you will be very happy in your role once you start in the bigger store. I am sure you will just do fine now that you have all the hard work out of the way and made it
)
Thank you for you wishes. I am starting to get a little nervous now. I generally do really well in interviews once I am in them as my feedback has always been great and I have always been offered the job but I get so nervous beforehand lol I have a old work colleague who has advised me on a few things to keep in mind when at the interview too as they work in a pharmacy. Can remember what scenarios you were given when it comes to customer service questions? What is the salary if you don't mind me asking?
I am excited to just get there and do it. It is at 12 O'clock! EEEEP. I have to go to work at 2pm after it so I am hoping it won't be too long before I am taking and go through it all. Do you actually have to retake the questionnaire at the interview? Can you remember how long you were in for?....Sorry, stupid amount of Qs again! lol

Hi,
I was asked how I would recommend a certain product to a customer.
Had a list of scenarios, eg someone wants a new shampoo what questions could you ask before recommending a product. I had to point out different types of customers and what I would do in each
I read up a lot before my interview, I know some others have had to hand out baskets to customers, hand out samples, try to sell a product, I guess they would be more aimed at sales advisors.
No, no second questionaire - I just put that bit there as a few people said its hard to get past that bit.
The pay rate varies from store to store depending what zone you come under, so check with the interviewer.
Good luck :TMFW

What questions did you come up with? Like, if they have dry hair or greasy hair etc? I am doing alot of reading up myself on these forums and the actual boots website. I think I will go into overload though lol
