Boots interview today

Im so nervous.

The job is for healthcare advisor in a little pharmacy in the next village. As there is no manager there, they are sending me to a huge Boots in the next town.

I thought I wouldnt have to go out and try to sell as its a pharmacy based role, but as Im being interviewed in the large store I have no idea how its going to go!

Im not a good sales person, hense not applying for sales advisor! I can recommend products, eg shampoo/medicine according to needs etc. I think Id be ok at handing out samples, but just going up to someone and trying to sell a random item Id instantly fail!

Its not til later on so I have all day to prepare myself. I have answers ready for the questions Im expecting.....just need to get some courage for the shop floor!

Hope you get on alright, Bellevie. My sister works in Boots and really enjoys it.

In her interview, she got asked the normal questions about how she would handle various situations then went out on the shop floor. She was asked about tidying shelves, and had to do some of that. She did have to speak to customers and recommend products to them, but it was more about suggesting products/asking people if they needed help, rather than selling people things. She didn't have any prior knowledge of the types of products or of the shop itself, but she says it wasn't too scary!

    Good luck :)

  • Hi Bellevie,

I was wondering how your interview went for the Healthcare Advisor role? I have just received a phone call today asking me to attend an interview for the same position in my town. I was wondering if you could share your interview experience with me at all? Questions they asked etc?

Thanks in advance and Good Luck!!!! :))

    Hi,

It went well, I got the call today offering me the job!

I was asked normal questions, why Boots, why this role examples of customer service, working in a team, general experience etc.

I had a good interviewer who put me at ease straight away which helped a lot I think.

    Good luck!

Boots is quite easy to get into, providing to make it to the interview. The online questionnaire is where most get cut off.
