Debenhams bargains up to 70% off

Will this board be going down the route of just one massive thread per each shop? Makes no sense at all .
makes perfect sense IMO. Both of the offers were for the 70% off items at Debenhams - far better to put them together than have loads of different threads filling up the board.
The same applies to other offers that are all from one shop in the same 'sale' or 'special offer'0 -

So when mens stuff or kids stuff is added to the sale who wants to look at a womans boots thread just in case.
The board doesnt get clogged up it just moves down the page when people bother to post new deals.
I hate it for example we now have one amazon toys thread, people who want baby things or teen things have to keep clicking one main thread rather than seeing a title so they can see if its of any interest to them.0 -

Disagree.
Especially at this time of year, people are looking for specific thing.
If I'm looking for a bargain as a Xmas present, I'm more likely to click on a thread title that tells me about a particular deal, rather than wade through pages of posts on one thread looking for something.0 -

and I've lost count of the number of people I have seen say "I never read past page 2 on Grabbit, it's too busy" so the more threads there are the more they get shoved out of the way!
At least with one thread it stays near the top of the board as people add comments to it. There are currently several threads with decent offers on pages 3, 4, 5 and 6 that have no comments on them because they are so far down the board now that a heck of a lot of people don't even look that far.
Lots of seperate threads are more suited to the HUKD style of forum because over there they are ruthlessly deleted or pruned out if the offer isn't interesting or drops down the pages. The moderation here is much gentler but, in consequence, to make grabbit useful it needs to be kept tidy and fully usable!
All just my humble opinion, of course0 -
well said rebeccaj, and I fully agree with you.
But this is off topic and I think we might get told off in a minute0 -
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: While it’s easy to wander off-topic that often prevents newbies finding the information they want quickly and easily (please see this rule).
