Would I Be Able To Rent?

Hello
This is my first post.
I 22 am looking into renting a room for around £450-500pcm, but i'm unsure if I would be able to rent due to the fact I only started my new job 2 weeks ago. It think it would be a bit difficult for my boss to give me a reference as I've only just been employed.
I have enough savings to easily cover 6 months upfront & I could get one of my family members to be a guarantor.
Do you think I would be able to rent?
Any additional advice would be greatly appreciated.

It's good that you have 6 months that you can pay upfront but don't mention that unless you have to. If you find somewhere you like and they won't accept you under normal circumstances even with a guarantor then it's a backup.0 -

Obviously each LL has their own criteria for trying to ascertain that the rent is likely to get paid in full and on time but many LLs will still seek guarantor or rent upfront if the let is for a room in a shared house.

For questions like this the answer will vary from landlord to landlord and area to area, so the best way to answer it is to start looking at some properties and seeing if they will accept you as a tenant. I can't see many landlords having a problem with your situation as described though.Note: Unless otherwise stated, my property related posts refer to England & Wales. Please make sure you state if you are discussing Scotland or elsewhere as laws differ.0
