    I've always wondered about how to buy property that is derelict? Where the owners have (presumably) died and have no will or dependants to leave it to and it is just left standing looking ugly.

    I am a property developer who would love to renovate these sort of houses and bring them up to scratch but haven't a clue where to start with regards who to contact.

    Any advice welcome - and sorry for 'nicking' the thread slightly! :)

    don't mind at all, it is good to know these things, but you may get a better response if you do a separate post.

    we have someone doing this to the land just next to us ..and my two neighbours have joined in ...i would love to do it too as another 10ft of land would make life easier for me to grow stuff on ...thanks for starting the thread
