Free Insulation any catches?

Hi,

I have British Gas coming round to do a free insulation survey (cavity and loft / assuming our house is suitable for this). I got the idea / info from MSE.

http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/utilities/free-cavity-loft-insulation

I am just wondering if there are any questions I should ask, is anything I should be aware of? Are there any catches? (e.g can the holes drilled in the walls cause damage / are there hidden costs)

Just wondering if any one else has had it done and how did it go and did your house feel warmer after and did you notice cheaper bills?

Any thoughts much appreciated.

    My advice, welcome them, quick.
We had ours done 7 years ago. It really helps insulate, keep the house warm and cut heating bills.
The hidden cost - after you have had the holes drilled and filled, you will have to paint over them to match the house colour.
The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)
