Crossover advice

The car based crossovers you have looked at are really medium sized hatch versions. They would be not much bigger than a Focus/Civic/Golf etc which is too small for your needs.
You can still get what you want but you may need to do sone leg work and get to dealers and fit the seats in and see if it works for you. Mazda have a couple of excellent crossovers (CX 7 may do what you want without stepping too far out of compact crossover territory) as do Mitsubishi (The Outlander is compact with 7 seat option so an adult plus two kids can easily be done in here with a kid moving to the back row). This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Would you also advise us not to bother about seat belts on short journeys as well? ?
That's a little bit ridiculous, don't you think?
I'm sure it was obvious what I meant, but, just in case, a booster cushion is an ideal spare in the boot of the car for the odd occasion that you have an extra child to transport. They are not really suitable for regular use, especially for smaller kids, who need the extra protection provided by a high back booster, or, ideally, an Isofix seat with a 5-point harness for as long as the child fits in it.0 -
We have a Sportage. I had a look earlier and I doubt that an adult would want to travel very far jammed in between two child seats. Otherwise, it's a very nice car.
If you go for a seven seater, bear in mind that they usually have a matchbox size boot if the rear seats are used. A roof box is a must.0 -

Yep, I really like the look of the sportage, and it's really what got us thinking that it would be nice to have a car that we liked rather than a car that does the job if you see what I mean.
Don't want a 7 seater for the reasons above, not sure about safety of rear occupants being so close to the boot but in all honesty when the extra adult is in the rear that's when we normally need the boot space, holidays etc
Not sure I want to go bigger in terms of larger 4x4 type designs, cost and practicality reasons really.
I have seen the Citroen c4 Picasso (not the grand) seems to have 3 full rear seats and I suppose that's a direct replacement for my xsara Picasso but I don't like it and I had in my mind to get a nice car this time around, I'm starting to lean towards keeping what we have0 -
many cars even cross over types have 2 anchorage points for baby seat bases. some cars have enough enough room in the middle to get a third person in the back inbetween baby seats.0

Had. I problems finding. As with isofix for two seats, the issue appears to be getting one with room for an adult between without moving up into the larger ranges. Any suggestions on ones that may fit an adult between the child seats?0
