Online insurance - 14 day cool off??

I purchased car insurance on line last week and thought i went thru Quidco to get £100 cash back...... however quidco have no record of it so probably an operator error on my part.
I was wondering if i could cancel under a 14 day cool off and then re-apply for insurance via quidco to get the cash back?? I have trawled the prudential web site and cant find anything relating to a 14 day cool off but a friend has said he "thinks" its a statutory thing for on line financial purchases???
Anyone any ideas please?????

The Distance Marketing Directive does dictate that you should have a 14 day cooling off period. The company still has the right to charge a fee of some kind.
A quick look at their online policy
http://www.pru.co.uk/content/acrobat/car_02_2006.pdf
tells you on page 2 that they will provide a full refund and not charge a fee.0
