Online insurance - 14 day cool off??

I purchased car insurance on line last week and thought i went thru Quidco to get £100 cash back...... however quidco have no record of it so probably an operator error on my part.
I was wondering if i could cancel under a 14 day cool off and then re-apply for insurance via quidco for the refund?? I have trawled the prudential web site and cant find anything relating to a 14 day cool off but a friend has said he "thinks" its a statutory thing for on line financial purchases???
Anyone any ideas please?????
Ta for looking.
