Can anyone recommend the best ramps to use to get a mobility scooter up a single step into the house?
The step's about 5 inches high. Thanks

I use Clarke ramps from Machine Mart as they fold for space and carrying.0

There's a range on Boots.com. They do seem to be outrageously expensive though. I believe you can get V.A.T. relief on this kind of thing but don't know how that works. Maybe you could ask in a Boots store.
See here for the range on Boots.com: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3840565
ETA: There's Christmas Shopping Events next week where you get 1200 Advantage Card points for every £75 spent online. See here: http://www.boots.com/en/Christmas-shopping-events-at-Boots_1238391/?cm_mmc_o=-uubkbzfwlCjCKww5kbELCjCvi%20i9%20niioCjCC0 -

I second this, I have used these for years and even have a set screwed down as an alternative exit for my house and they are as new after over three years outside, you pay the VAT as they are not disability aids but they still work out cheaper and much better, stronger and long lasting than ones sold for us crips.
I use a 6" set for visiting friends and relatives, wothout them I couldnt even go into my aunts, sisters and daughters homes or even visit the hair dressers.0 -
So how much would you expect to pay for a decent ramp? Some I've looked at are around £200!!!!!0

Could you drop a couple of paving slabs in front of the step? Making it into a couple of 2-3" climbs?Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?0 -
Hello OP. I have a couple of ramps for sale. They could be collected or couriered for a lot less than you would pay for new ones. they are in excellent condition.
one is a 5' suitcase type ramp, the other is around 3'. depending on the weight of your scooter and the number of steps you need to get up.
The longer the ramp, the less of an incline there is for you to climb.0 -
