Do People Still at Interviews.....

The only thing I take along is a copy of my CV but only when an agency has arranged the interview.
As the copy they receive will have my contact details removed and its easier to negotiate direct.
I have never been asked for proof of quals etc0 -
When I worked at RBS I occasionally interviewed people who were seeking an internal move and was never required to check any ID or qualifications - whether HR were doing that separately I have no idea.0

I take my certificates and no one looks at them.0

Once you are within the group and have had the checks done once to get in you wouldnt expect those same checks to be repeated again. If you have gained other qualifications from outside of work whilst youre there then you may be asked to prove it.
Never once during an interview have I ever been asked to show any qualifications - even after job offers its fairly rare0
