Do People Still at Interviews.....

I am applying for another position internally at work.

I was wondering should I be successful to get an interview.

Do people still take certificates and evidence of things achieved or letters of compliments received etc within the workplace now a days or is that a thing of the past.

It might sound a stupid question however I have not had an interview for nearly 5 years if not more.

Many thanks

:D

  • You will only need to produce these things if you get offered the job. You might be asked for your passport to prove who you are.

I would think they know that as the internal job is probably where the OP works now

You would think.so wouldn't you but I work at a university and if you go for an internal post you must take your passport to prove who you are!

I had to take my MA certificate to my last two interviews. I also had to take my passport and utility bills as the job required a CRB check.

At interview stage in the last 20 years I have never been asked for passport or cetificates. Not even when I left school was I ever asked to show them.

The role is still within the RBS group.

I just was not sure if they might ask me to provide evidence of things I have achieved recently. Believe it not we do get nice letters from customers on occasion lol

Banks tend to do a big song and dance about checking CVs thoroughly just prior or after job acceptance. So it will be at that stage they will ask you to produce certificates or give permission for the Uni etc to release them.

Whether that is the same internally, no idea. I imagine that if you haven't been through one of the newer stricter investigations then they will probably do one.
