When do cheques debit from account

Hi,
Out of curiosity when do cheques actually debit from the cheque writers account after the cheque has been deposited? I.e. If someone deposited a cheque I wrote on Monday, when would it actually come out of my account?
I'm with Santander.

Usually prior to 9am two working days after deposit. But can vary.0
