Saga travel insurance warning

I booked a single travel trip to Florida with Saga (had annual cover but was Europe only) at the start of August. Was diagnosed with breast cancer on 3rd October. Lump removed and I am having precautionary chemo and radiotherapy. Saga called me last night to cancel my policies as they now consider me too much of a risk, even though all treatment will be completed before my holiday to Florida. They are refunding pro data, although I paid over £130 and I get 92 back. I am so annoyed, I thought that was what I took out insurance for, not for companies to back out when I get ill. They also refused to cover me for a week in Turkey that I took before I started chemo, as they said I didn't check with them first - I thought that was why you took an annual policy, and the chemo is preventative not curative!
Really really disappointed that a company aimed at the older traveller can abandon me at this time!
