Barclaycard PPI refused claim

Just some advise please,

I sent off a cliam for my ppi on my credit card from barclaycard, it has been refused, so i started checking back through statements,

I had No PPI on my first two months, then on the third month it was on the statement.

I remember applying for the card in my local shopping centre just befor xmas. and i can understand if PPI was included at this point then it is my fault for taking the insurance,

Can they just add it 2 months after the event not sure i asked for it to be added.

Not sure what to do next should i write to barclaycard with this new infromation or is the matter finished in their eyes.

No. However, most PPI on credit cards is taken out post sale. Typically over the phone.

Although, PPI is only added when you borrow money and only when you get past the initial interest free period. So, statement three would be logical for it to appear first. So, it sounds like you bought yours with the card.

We dont know your reasons for complaint and what evidence you have to support it. What were they?

I had used the card a few times befor the thrid month and no sign of ppi in the monthly payments

my main resaon for the claim is that i feel i have paid a lot of money for something i didn't want / need / or know about. I have notes on my first statement and copy of application form about any extra charges.

I have no notes about the ppi cover, as this account is nearly 8 years I can not remember a phone call about ppi.

Could i ask barclaycard if they have proof of an after sales call.
