jsa non contact

my husband applied for jsa on 18/9/12 has signed on twice since.as of today we have had no communication or payment.husband has phoned every day this week to be told that someone will get back to him as a priority.still nothing.We are currently living(?) on my incapacity benefit and DLA. How does he proceed from here?

    As to your question, The layabouts at the Job Centre tend to only let the phone only ring once, before recording no contact on your file. Your only way is to phone again, If you get no joy take it up with the manager.

    He needs to really get on to them to see what the hold up is,
  • They did this to us, and went on for 6 months. We were near homeless afterwards. Anyway, this was due to some genius in the job centre had mixed up my partners info with someone of a similar name (he has a common first and surname) and they thought we owned a house and could live off the independent value of it. When we are actually living in a rented flat.
    We only found this out because the JSA had told the housing benefit this and then the housing benefit got cancelled too. When we asked why, they told us straight off. Then things were sorted and back-paid in about 2 weeks.
    Maybe some info is missing or clashing claims? Phone them all and ask about it. They can't just continue ignoring you. Maybe write a formal letter too?
