I read the news that Huggies are closing down manufacturing plants in Europe for nappies that does not necessarily mean they will stop selling them here?

I used the Little Swimmers coupon to buy a 1st Swim Kit which is on offer at the moment. It contains 6 swim nappies and a hooded towel and was only £1.56 with the coupon! You also get Parenting Club points too so I got 30 Advantage points just on this.

Worth remembering in most Boots that their tills only take 1 coupon per transaction so you need to get them to put the things you buy through separately.

As the BBC news website says -

Kimberly-Clark is to stop making and selling Huggies nappies in Europe, except for Italy.
The company has decided to concentrate on non-fastening nappies such as pull-ups and will continue to make Huggies-branded wipes and Little Swimmers.

Don't understand the comments that maybe will be some cheap huggies once they're discontinued.

Although they are going to concentrate on the pull ups, surely the news means more risk of higher prices / no more specials. The supermarkets seem to alternate between specials for huggies for a period and then pampers. If no more huggies, pampers won't need to discount so much as well.

Maybe stocking up now a bit and while specials are on would be good.
  • Not impressed! The coupons in my pack were out of date.

I'm sure some supermarkets are bound to get rid of them at a cheaper price once they've been discontinued, always the way when they stop selling anything! And i can't see how they'd be able to sell them at full price once it's all been closed. Either way i'm sure people will keep their eyes peeled for some bargains :)
