morning .... not a good day yesterday as my much loved and fabulous gran passed away in the afternoon  We were forewarned about it but it's still very sad and I already miss her. She'd been in hospital for almost 3 weeks and was allowed home for palliative care until the end. all her drugs etc had been stopped and she was on morphine so i know she had a peaceful death (plus she was at home instead of hospital and i know she was so happy about that). Still very upsetting though.

I've not been to a funeral for 18 years then all of a sudden it's 2 in one month.....

Hope everyone managed to bag MT :D I went out this morning but nothing at all so I asked the man in the sweets aisle and he brought me a box of 6. So i did 3 shops! Gran would have been laughing at my escapades and money saving this morning :D

Bananababe, good luck at the neurologist later and i hope you find some milk tray as they are pretty hard to find

So sorry to hear of your loss. Sending you hugs.

Warby, Have you actually had the man look at your fridge or is it a quote, to fix any part and labour?

Just wondering as our whirlpool freezer packed in a few months ago - we were quoted £215 - one off and any part needed was covered - we were not offered any other way of paying for time or parts separate ?

When the guy came it was a fan in the freezer, took him 10mins to fix and the part cost £37 to buy ( not as trade ) - so I'd see if it was at all possible to fix cheaper and if it was £160 for the part you need and labour then it prob is a bargain !

The thought of £1200 on new fridge before xmas would make my eyes water ! Goodluck

  • :jI am in shock, just had an unexpected parcel delivered, guess who was the winner of the competition when White Chocolate Brownie Kraves were launched, did not even realised I had entered a competition, I was happy with my two vouchers for free Kraves. Ha Ha. Now I am the owner of 6 boxes of krave, a krave bowl, a krave jumper, an apple speaker and yes a 16gb IPAD!!!!.

Well done - what a fantastic surprise :T

    Morning all :)

I see a few of you have been having problems with Sada not comparing some items. Is anyone having a similar problem with T's PP?
I did 2 targetted shops (against Sada) yesterday and got my PP in late last night -

Croft original sherry 1litre T's £11.50 A's £8 and Lilt 1litre T's £1.98 A's £1 both came back as N/A :naughty: I've had both these items compare several times before

Is it worth contacting T's or should I just take them back for a refund?

    Not a happy bunny

Repair or replace ? Still pondering

8-10y (guessing because previous house owners left it)

Its a Whirlpool and apparently quite a good model - new version about £1000 - £1200

    Repair comes with 12m guarantee

Man says well worth repairing but he would wouldn't he ?

Yep I'd agree with couponqueen (and DaisyDuck and CallofTrouty). There's a limited number of ways most items like that can break down. Unless the seals break and that's a big problem IIRC.
To be frank if it cost you this much in repairs every two years (extremely unlikely) it'd still be a lot cheaper than buying a new one at that price and having it depreciate in value over, say, a 10-20-year lifetime.
Repair's deffo my choice in this case.

Thanks everyone for the info on the wine glitch.

Thanks, yes - man has been out (2 men in fact)

They got it going and knew immediately what to look for , said there is only one or 2 things that go wrong with Whirlpool - its the main heating element that comes on every 12h to keep the Frost Free going (can you tell I'm not techy ?).

Still waiting on a firm price

The trouble is I'm spoilt now and if I replace would like similar but can't really afford it. Certainly would have to get something cheaper.

Hi, everyone handing out buckets of hugs and loves to everyone for the support and advice and the endless lists.

Very happy to report a successful choc-shop today

Nothing new to add to the fillers list but I did get an extra item in view of the winter vomiting bug going about I thought it would be better to be ready just incase :)

    Also got some Ariel ;)

My store is hopeless, it does not have any of the lovely chocs everyone has been reporting so rather than get another Tobby I got the Thornt xmas, as reported previously

I got all flavours of snackpot and they all matched - does that make them 10p each? If so this is excellent.

£2 for chocs - is that right?

Also got the walkers - so 3 everything on the list we needed :)
