  • Just back from a playdate over the road, had a chat with my friend and was nice to catch up. Not so nice that DD was very hyper and destructive :( am going to mention some behaviours to the health visitor when she eventually gets her 2 year review, think she will need to be assessed as we suspect she's autistic. If there's anyone on here who is or has been in a similar situation I'd love to hear from you.

    Hey there,

just wanted to let you know that I have had a similar issue with my DS who is now 9. I knew right from him being a tiny baby that there were some differences between him and other babies - this seemed to become more obvious as he got older. Main issues were a terribly short attention span with most stuff then hyperfocussing on other stuff. He is ridiculously clever and was speaking beautifully before he was one which at the time everyone marvelled at (as did I), not realising at the time that this was a sign of ASD. He has always been a difficult socialiser, doesn't follow the same rules as other kids and despite being a kind, thoughtful lad can't really empathise with others.

I avoided bringing any of this to his HV attention as I really didn't want to accept that there was anything wrong however once he started school it was soon picked up on and we were referred to the educational psychologist who diagnosed mild aspergers, ADHD, dyslexia and dyspraxia.

After a lot of time, patience and sleepless nights from me and DH he is coming along so well. He excels at maths, science and IT is on the gifted and talented register. He has (finally) made a couple of good friends who are simialr to him and he is happy in himself. When I see him at school it is apparent that he is different but he seems cool with that.

Apols for the ramble - please let me know if you have any specific Qs and I will try to answer them xx and try not to worry.

    Good evening lovelies :)

Not much chance of me catching up before forum downtime but I'll have a flick through what I can :)

Hope you've all had a lovely day and are as well as can be :) I've spent the day doing a bit of tidying, ashamed to say I didn't get very far though! No shopping for me today, I haven't left the house, infact I haven't even got dressed! Stinking cold, no biggie really but could have done without it especially after having the flu jab as prevention.

Big hugs to the folks suffering in whichever form that may be xxx

Awww...hope you soon feel well..keep warm and take care..x

They refused a safe coupon for SpK bicuits today (totally legitimate one as well from Facebook). They even took it away to check then came back and said they weren't accepting any coupons from now on unless they were Sada's own.

Thats just the ones on the list mentioned earlyer. :)

Well I have to say Worry Wort you took this better than I would have, I would still be ranting now:(

I think getting the vino delayed my reaction. Don't get me wrong, I was mortified when it happened and was trying not to lose it but I just wanted out before they twigged to the wine glitch so secretly felt like I'd won. It's only now that the adrenalin has worn off that I can't believe I let someone speak to me like that and treat me like a criminal.

It defies belief (though it really shouldn't) that the customer knows the T&Cs better than the staff. To try and accuse me of trying to do something dodgy by returning something after I'd used an APG was the final straw though and I may have gotten a bit shirty. I asked exactly what coupons need receipts and was told the TPPs don't need one as they're Tescos own but they need them for Asda & Sainsbobs. I laughed and asked them exactly how they planned to compare a brand match to a receipt at which point I got glazed expression :(

you must ring compain and tell them how shes made you feel just to let you know unless she got any reason to think you been stealing theres nothing she can do if you walk out providing you paid for what you got also if your in the rightthe police will laugh at her:eek:

iv had many trouting and always win my fav thing to do is demand they phone headoffice at customservices desk infront of others and i speack about how bad ,rude the SA has been and explain how unprofessional they are, and a little training would help them make there staff happy ,:eek:

they always reply with sorry about whats happend ill tell the SA to put it all throu/its all ok and they send me a gift voucher or tell SA to give me one

i love the faces they pull when they in the wrong lol

I've sent the FB team a message as I don't think I'd get it all out in a phonecall. I don't want anything more than an apology and for feedback to be passed down to the store manager though I'm sure I'm not the first to complain so I doubt anything that gets said will make a difference.
