No, this thread is not awful, it is amazing. Just a few who spoil it for the majority, but only if they are allowed or encouraged to :)

I wish all the fbers were on here, I love the banter too xx
    we are not far away;)
  • Was it spicy please?
The chipotle chilli is very nice I think and only slightly spiced, the piri piri chicken was even less spicy, but both were EXTREMELY sweet, which is strange as they are meant to be diet food. The long use-by date is good as they are a great standby when you are busy. Both my OH and I agreed that we would happily eat them again at that price, but certainly not at 2.99 each.:)
I am not young enough to know everything.

Awww that's what the Elite was all about and hopefully will still be about going forward :A We've had a major rocky patch in the last few months but hopefully things are starting to get back to normal. I'm not sure of your story sorry, whether you recently stumbled on us or have been a long time lurker but it's lovely to see that the next generation of Elite newbies haven't been put off. You're exactly what we need :D xx[/QUOTE]

Thank you for that. I was lurking for a few months and kept putting
off posting but did eventually in October. Glad I did. :T. I just try
not to react etc and enjoy the discussion and get some bargains
along the way. Trying hard to find something to give in return -
    some day :rotfl:

It was a method for making materials markproof scuffproof and dirt-repellent from before the ark. I think they just make stuff now that's already got these properties so the treatment doesn't exist and proably never even made it into the internet era. If the company that made it is no longer in business it might well be non-googlable. Actually if we run the Wayback Machine for a few years and revisit ther internet when it was young we might be more lucky, but well, life's a short trip so somebody else can do that if they want.:D
Hmmmm. As mentioned on another thread, I really am showing my age!

Perhaps if you'd said Scotchguard they might of realised ..... but I knew what you meant ;)

3Dogs, I feel for you and all your pain. Hope the oil delivery went OK after all your problems with the path and keys, sorry you may have already posted but I am just trying to catch up as Mum is ill.

Yes, the heating oil came at 9.30 am and was delivered with no problem as neighbour had moved the fence panel and guy just walked across his garden to reach path behind my bungalow. Plenty of oil in the tank now, ready for the winter. And I was very :money: using a bulk buying company to get the 500 litres for £297 instead of £348 from my normal supplier :j :j

Hope your Mum is ok hun. Lots of hugs (((())))

I'm logging on quickly from my work to say that I have just had an offer accepted on what will make a lovely family home on the street I grew up on as a kid (from 6 months to 10 years)!!! :j:j:j:j:j

It's a bit of a project which suits me just fine. I could never in a million years afford this house if it was all done up

Big, big thanks to everyone who contributes to the finds on this thread because the savings I have made (and hopefully will continue to make) will help speed the renovation along :beer:

I can't believe my daughter will be going to the same school as I did. :eek:My mum still lives in the area and can't wait to walk her to/from school when she's old enough :j

Fantastic news auu - hope the sale goes through quickly and you are soon in your lovely new home. Good luck with the renovations in the new year

I miss this thread, I don't get a lot of time to post on it due to work hours but I would have loved to have been on here more this half term. I have joined the fb group because the thread has become awful, whether he's ignored or not it's just not the same.

I wish you were on fb, I love the banter.:(

    Oh Flo

Sorry you feel this way but it still can be a great thread. Ignore the trolls and please keep on posting.

Embrace the changes , as it may never be quite the same thread as once was. There are some wonderful new posters and the simple truth is........
    ....

IT IS WHAT IT IS......let's all be positive and make the most of what we have here and now:)
