this is going to sound harsh but i dnt want it to shound harsh or you t taki it the wong way so hear goes

    1. your mum is "getting frail" (this is where shes need the care from some-one whos got her intrestes at heart = thats you

    2. you say she dosnt want them involved with HER MONEY A simple letter from solistors shuld stop them ,or adleast make them think that they are in the wrong

    3. as for the gravestone i realy think you need to step -up and put yr foot down for your yr mum when they not about to get a headstone of her choice (afterall its her choice )

4.can you see about having them burried together (some places will dig up and re burrie worth a try)

5, if this is not posible to take yr mum by self then ask yr brothers and sisters would they like it if some told them they couldnt put what they wanted on there patners/husbands/wifes grave stone

    6. i truly belive you and yr mum would be better off with out them they sound like they watching the pounds(for there own gain ) but at the same time making sure they and FRIENDS are having what they can before its stoped

i know its hard to stand-up to them but this can be done with-out vilonce/ threats might upseat a few people but you cant please everyone

please please take good care of yr self as yr mum need yoy

No it does not harsh just sensible ( to me anyway).

    1. Yes she is frail and when I put her to bed last night I had to undo her bra, lift her legs up onto the bed, get her a fresh drink, check house was all locked up and kiss her goodnight ( Mum is not very tactile but when they both got old it seemed the right thing to kiss them goodnight ( think I am the only one who does it though)
    2. I think the double signing of the b/s book came about because I am looking into power of attorney ( not for now but in the future) as my brother told Mum it was very expensive and I know from here it is easy and cheap.

    3. I will speak to my youngest sister next week about the gravestone and say Mum must have what she wants after all we can write what we want on Mum's

    4. I have tried to talk to the cemetery and apparently the only way they can be in the same grave is if Mum is cremated. Oldest brother has the funeral papers and I asked for them back so we can look and see if on the grave purchase it says anything about a double headstone. Then Mum would feel a bit happier. I mean double as in twice the size covering both graves.
    5. Re speaking to them it is pointless as they wont listen to me. That is why I emailed them. My DS and DD read the email before I sent it and said it was valid, to the point and not vitriolic.
For instance when Dad died my husband and my sisters husband ( who is disabled ) were not allowed in the funeral cars as my brother and sister said it was an unnecessary expense ( even though my 2 sister in laws went in the car with the grandchildren)
    6. I know they are watching the pounds because for instance my oldest brother and sister dont want her having the new windows as it will have to be repaid from the sale of the house eventually and they think it unnecessary even though Mum is very cold.

I am grateful for everyone's sensible input and wish my family could be the same.

Now off out to the market then maybe a trip to Asda and Tesco later.

    THANKS AGAIN ALL.

    .

Rose you are having a very trying time and I am sorry for you, these things are hard enough without the extra hassle, regarding the cemetery, I would try again, our one has a three buriel per plot , my gran and granda are in together and my mam and dad are in the adjoining plot it might be worth asking again.

Good morning loverrrrrly people and a very big happy birthday to jamsponge :bdaycake:I hope you have a wonderful day. I was watching a 'newish' sport on tv earlier called extreme pogo. The things that they can do on their pogo sticks...well...I just wish I was forty years younger I would have a go ;) apparently it gives a good 'workout' to all your parts! I had a pogo stick when I was younger but just bounced around on it, what they do with them now is on a totally different level. As usual it started in the States they just lurve the word extreme, and by all accounts there is now schools teaching it over here. Now why can't we have schools for extreme couponing? You don't have to be a 'certain age' to take part and there is no safety issues...except, of course, to a trout whose face would be permanently sour faced :D
