Envirofone... what should I do?

I recently sent 3 phones to Envirofone.

One of them was dealt with quickly and I received a price and was paid within a few days.
I heard nothing about the other 2 phones and emailed them - they said they had never received them. (I know they were received because they were in the same parcel as the phone they acknowledged). I explained this, and they said they would do a "full investigation".
They asked for the phones' IMEI numbers but I can't get them as they have the ruddy phones!! (i have no packaging and i'm not going to start ringing my old provider from 3 years ago to try and get them... not worth the hassle)

24 hours later they have said "We have checked the testing department and all of our systems and we have definitely not received these two phones, apologies"

Is there a way I can make them pay me for the phones anyway - as it was THEIR mistake not mine?

You can't be bothered to get the info that would be used to locate the phones and yet you still want them to pay out without an investigation because "you can't be bothered to get the info" that would allow an investigation...?

I guess you could block the phones so that they can't be sold on, but that would involve effort locating the imei number, for which you can't be bothered to do.

Always copy, photo, locate the imei number of phones that you send away. Then you wont have to be bothered to find them out. Presumably you sent it well packed, and under a traceable service too ?

Afraid you erred in trusting them - they would need the IMEI to trace, so without this you'll be stuffed. Assuming you still have the RD or SD reference, supply this as proof that they received it, but hey may argue only one phone was in the package - so it's lose-lose unless you find the info.
