Reclaiming PPI Loans.co.uk farce

I was contacted at the end of march asking If I'd like to reclaim the PPI on a loan I had. I started the procedure at the beginning of April. The loan was with GE Money, and the broker was Loans.co.uk. The complany who are trying to sort it out are 'assist'.
Long story short, it's been upheld, but ge money are refusing to give details of my loan to Loans.co.uk. There is excuse after excuse, their systems are down, someones sick etc etc. I'm getting tired of being fobbed off. Assist call them every two weeks, but they're getting nowhere.

What can I do?

Thanks.

Oh, and the numbers for loans.co.uk no longer are valid. Their website is permanently down, and the only number I do have that works, just rings and rings and rings and rings......

    Hi

Just a though, although I could be mistaken.

I am not sure if they are still active, but if they are not, it may be that you will have to make the reclaim via the Financial compensation scheme (FSCS).

If they are listed with he FSCS, and if you taken out the finance on or after 14 Jan 2005, the FSCS will arrange to send you out form to complete, and you have to enclose copies of paperwork you may have.

No harm in giving them a ring just to see what is what first, good luck.

Also to say, is it too late to cancel with the claims company?

Are you aware you can do this yourself without using one?

The procedures are quite straight forward and possibly less paperwork involved.

If it's not too late to cancel, maybe you could consider doing so, and give it a go with free help from this site.;)

Who upheld your complaint? How do you know this? I'm not getting how they can uphold your complaint without any loan details at all.
It probably is too late ot cancel the company now, if the complaint is upheld, they can smell the money, so they won't be letting it go.
