Warning!! Thorpe Park tickets and Ebay

Hello,

I recently sold a bounce back Thorpe park ticket that i had bought and wasnt going to get a chance to use on Ebay. I took a photo of the ticket and sold it for exactly the same price that i had bought it for £15.

The person who bought it tried to use it at Thorpe Park today and was told it was voided as the terms and conditions had been broached by this ticket being sold on Ebay and they confiscated it. I'm offering a refund, and have incurred postage and listing fees for it. I would have done better just chucking it in the bin!

So not sure if I have any re-dress with Merlin? It would have been better if they had contacted me and asked me to remove the listing rather than being greedy and sneaky.

So warning for everyone do not buy or sell tickets on ebay where the barcode is clearly readable.

Perhaps before you rant at Merlin you should read the terms and conditions of the tickets you sold, specifically:
2.2 All tickets are non-transferable and cannot be re-sold without prior permission of Thorpe. If Thorpe reasonably believes that a ticket has been resold without such consent or purchased from an unauthorised source, the holder may be refused entry to or ejected from the Park without refund or payment of compensation. Any admission tickets, or discount vouchers, purchased or obtained from ticket touts will not be valid and the holder will be refused entry or ejected from the Park without payment of compensation. All admission prices are subject to change.

    Your own fault I'm afraid.

Did you ask them for permission to sell it?
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
  • never ever take a picture of it on ebay then cant trace it
