in Credit cards
Hi guys,
My first post on here and naturally its a bit of a newbie question (so sorry in advance!
)
I am desperately trying to get my first credit card, I'm in my mid 20's and have a solid full time job but I am struggling to get banks or card companies to accept me. My partner and I are looking to buy our first house in the next 12 months but will need credit to ensure a mortgage offer of sorts.
I have recently been declined for the Barclays Initial which I was told was a great card for building credit
.. and am now looking at the options of Capital One, an Aqua card or an Aquis(?) card
Does anybody have any experience of any of these cards or which I would be best off with?
I will only be using it for small purchases etc in a bid to build credit!
Thanks all

aqua or cap one would be a good choice.
If they reject you, then Vanquis. They'll accept anyone, I would think.0 -
Thank zx,
The whole credit thing is a bit beyond me, never borrowed anything before which I'm guessing could be the problem!0 -

The Aqua reward card, specifically, would be OPs best option, as if accepted it offers fee free foreign transactions (purchases, not cash) and 3% cashback, up to max £100 per year.0
